| The pictures used in this recipe were for a single serving. Chinese broccoli Ginger sliced thin Garlic sliced thin or if you really love garlic just break it into big chunks Chinese Cooking Wine Olive Oil Dash of sugar Optional Start off by slicing the broccoli on an angle so the pieces are no larger then 1/4" also trim off the flowers because they can be bitter. Once you get to the branches and leaves, cut them so they're about 4" long. Bring a pot of water to a boil and add some oil to it. cook the broccoli in the water for about 1 minute then drain, heat up a pan and add 1 TBS of oil, cook the ginger and garlic till it puts off a nice smell and has some color to it. Add in the broccoli and toss, pour in about 1 TBS of Chinese Cooking Wine and if you like a hint of sweetness add a dash of sugar. toss everything together, making sure to not burn it. Remove from heat and plate. I've never measured things when making this dish. Just figure for a single person about 3 gloves garlic and equal parts ginger. enough oil to lightly cover the broccoli and the Chinese cooking wine to taste about 1 to 2 TBS depending on how much you're cooking.
