| This dish has an asian flare, but over all it's nothing more then random stuff throw in a wonton wrapper. I placed it in this forum because it fits here better then the other forums. You should always keep wonton wrappers in your freezer, Pull them out as you need them, they thaw super fast (less then 15 minutes) and are useful for a lot of different dishes. I had some left over chicken and cheese in the fridge. I needed something for dinner and didnt want to waste the left overs. Here's what I did. Here's my list of items, since this was tossed together you'll have to figure out how much of each item to use. wonton wrappers Cooked chicken, shredded 1 raw egg feta cheese fresh parmesan cheese black mushrooms (any mushroom will do) splash of soy sauce smaller splash of rice wine brown sugar black pepper cayenne pepper oil for cooking. toss everything into a mixing bowl and using your hand mix everything up, making sure the egg gets mixed in well. then using about a tsp worth of filling, place your filling in the middle of a wonton wrapper. dip your index finger in some water and run it across two edges/corner of the wonton wrapper like this |_ then fold the wrapper over and remove as much air as you can from the middle and seal up the wrappers. once you have all your wonton wrappers filled, heat up a large nonstick pan with alittle oil in the pan. place your wontons flat side down. heat till the bottom is golden, then flip, 20-30 seconds later, enough water to just slightly cover the bottom of the pan and then place the lid on the pan, this will give it a steamed affect. Once the water evaporates, remove your wonton and plate. if done right they shouldn't burn. (Do note,) in the pictures I was short on wonton wrappers so I over stuffed them. I did about 1 1/2 tsp of filling for each wrapper, This makes for an easy to break wrapper. (also note) from picture 1153 (last of this post) and picture 1155 (first of the 2nd post) you can see the before adding water and lid and after, notice how the wonton turns transparent. Yum!
