| Made this last night for dinner. Easy, quick prep, and not all that expensive. 1 large can Cream of Mushroom soup (26oz I think) 1 10oz can of Tomato soup 1 package Beefy Onion Soup mix 1 medium to large onion 3 lbs steak (I prefer sirloin or strip) 8oz fresh mushrooms, sliced thick 8oz sour cream 1/4 cup flour Chop the meat into 1/2" to 3/4" chunks. Slice the mushrooms into medium to thick slices. Chop onion into large pieces. Place all ingredients into crockpot except sour cream and flour. Cook on low for 7-8 hours, or on high for about 4 hours. Before serving, stir in 1/4 cup flour slowly so it doesn't lump. This will thicken the sauce. Use more or less depending on your preference to the sauce thickness. Add sour cream and stir well. Serve over a bed of buttered egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or rice. Serves 4 healthy appetites, or 6 regular servings. Please register or log in to remove this ad and the ads attached to all the picturesLast edited by George777; 07-14-2011 at 06:11 PM. |
