Squirt and Vodka

I created this last night.. Or maybe its been around for centuries and I've just discovered it. Anyway, a good mixed drink that isn't too sweet and very crisp flavored. (and super easy to make)

1 to 1.5 oz of your favorite Vodka (if you are a vodka lover, you can use more, but the vodka flavor becomes very prominent after 1.5 oz)
1 can Squirt.
Ice
Orange garnish.

Get a 16 oz glass, throw 5-6 cubes of ice in it, add the vodka, pour in the whole can of squirt, stir a little. Garnish with a slice of orange.

This goes well with Stir Fry or as a stand alone drink if you aren't so fond of the sweet stuff. Citrus intense, and very crisp.

Weird, I've never seen squirt. in this part of the country. is it like RC Cola and tab (not flavor wise) but the fact that you have to look real hard to find it?

When I was in my fraternity I used to mix a bottle of squirt with a shot of everclear. Didnt have the orange garnish but it was a pretty good mix. We have squirt around here for $0.79 a 20 oz bottle.

Hrm.. wasn't expecting that..

Squirt is a grapefruit flavored soda. I can buy it in 12 packs at my local wal-mart. After a little research, I've found that for whatever reason, they don't ship it to the east coast. Go figure.

We have Fresca, I surmise it would be an acceptable substitute.
It is also a grapefruit flavored soda.

Gonna have to try this, I've got some left over citrus vodka I've been meaning to use up.

I make that and have for yrs --its great !!!! But I use Orange or Cranberry or lime Vodka------Its easy to over indulge ---Hell of a summer drink !!!!
