Default Cookin Shows--Whoda thought??

Amazing how u get into them --There used to be some that were Kick A$$ and amazing how so many never admitted to watching them til the last couple years. Julia used to crack me up and I think one of the main reasons was that she lived a hell of an interesting life. She met her Husband when the both of them were in what became the ---CIA??---After WWII she got out and her husband suggested she get a hobby. The rest is history.
Then there was the "Two Fat Ladys" who were english/scottish? --the one drove a motorcycle with a sidecar for her "Fat " Friend ---They were no slaves to fashon and the one smoked like a chiminey ( Hate to say she died of Cancer ) Dam they could put out the food !!! And a lot of wisdom between the two. Theyd been round the block a few times !!
Lets not forget the "Rajin Cajan" Yes siry--- I remember a mac and cheese recipe he did one time that had like 4 cheeses and wine in it ------All those good ones hit the wine hard !!! Have to try and do a search on that some day.
Then the Carabas (sp) ? --They have the resturants now ---Uncle and his Nephew. They would make me laugh my a$$ off.

Theres more,, but space and my inability to type limits ---- Cool thing was that none were into the Low Fat, Low Carb "Lite" stuff

I watch Rachel Ray... :phear:

She's hot though.

Emeril is the ****. a lot of people don't like his personality but i think its funny, and the show reminds me sometimes of a corny infomercial but its cool. Whats that dudes name on Food network that does only Italian food, white guy, long hair, kind of blonde i think. He knows a lot about the origins of each dish. I always thought that was cool.

As for the older shows, i used to watch em but never a lot until a couple years ago.

Malto Mario is who you are thinking of.

My dad & sister have seen Emeril in person in NYC... They sat at the front table... My sister got really excited when Bobby Flay came out. He's the one I love too. He's a pimp.

I liked Jeff Smith's show The Frugal Gourmet, even if he did molest his assistants.
