Default Feasting on asphalt

Who watched it? I thought it was a kick butt show, I just wished it was longer.

I believe all 4 shows are still On Demand.

I thought it was good for a change, but I was pretty pissed that there was no new Good Eats for all of August because of it.

I thought it was funny how in the last episode when he's in Hawthorne, CA he stopped at the exact same roach coach (ideal foods) that caters to my work offices during lunch and breakfast hours.* The hilarious part was when he inhales and says something like, mmm that smells delicious, when to me it smells like wet dog.

Thinking of feasting on asphalt I should tell you about cooking OVER asphalt. For a surprise birthday for my sister I wrapped a potroast in several layers of foil with onions and garlic and a few other spices, placed it on the manifold of my 1969 Valiant and drove 8 hours to her house in WV. Arrived with the roast completely done and fed 8 people for her birthday dinner. Everyone thought it was delicious.

When I work for the Highway Department in the Summer, We cook both on the manifolds, and on real asphalt. Thats right, throw some corn straight into a pile of asphalt, smother with butter, and eat. Its great...

How can that not end up tasting like tar?
