Default Garlic Bread

This garlic bread can be prepped ahead of time and stored for days.
take out want you need and cook it up so it's always fresh out of the oven.

1 loaf Italian bread
1 stick of butter
4 large gloves of garlic, minced.
1 tsp kosher salt
1 1/2 tsp dried parsley
FRESH grated Parmesan cheese

Place butter in a small pot/pan and slowly melt under med/low heat. add the garlic, salt, and parsley.
bring it up to heat to give the garlic a nice smell then turn the heat off.

While waiting for the garlic to give off a nice smell, slice your bread, I like to slice the bread on an angle I find that it looks nice.

I like to place my garlic bread in a food storage container, I can fit 2 levels of 4 pieces in a single round container. lay your first batch down, brush on the garlic butter making sure to get a good bit of the garlic and parsley on the bread. Grate LOTS of parmesan cheese on it. then lay some wax paper on top of it and do another row on top. (see pictures)

When you're ready to cook the bread, place it on a cooking sheet and heat under a broiler, how long? no clue, just watch it. when it's done it's done.

If you're bored, take some diced tomatoes, salt, oil, and basil and heat in a pot, once it cooks for awhile remove from heat, pepper it, then plate on top the garlic bread, cover with a piece of provolone cheese and place under the broiler.

One day I'll get around to making some Tomato basil.

That looks very tasty, but IMO it's not really garlic bread unless it has at least 1 clove of garlic per slice.
Not that I'm knocking your garlic bread at all. I just like lots of garlic.

Jared (used 4 large cloves of garlic in my dinner stir fry)
