| Member | I didn't name these cookies. I got the recipe from my friend Sara Parker who says the molasses are the secret ingredient. The cookies are the perfect balance between spicy, chewy, and sweet. Ginger twinkles: 3c flour 1/2 ts salt 2 ts baking soda 2 ts cinnamon 4 ts ground ginger 8 oz unsalted butter, soft 1c + 1/2c sugar 1/3 c molasses 1 large egg mix together wet ingredients and 1c sugar. in a separate bowl mix the dry ingredients. slowly blend dry ingredients into wet. roll dough into a log (i usually do 2 smaller logs) refrigerate 15 - 30 mins to harden cut into 1/8 - 1/4" thick circles, coat the circles with remaining 1/2 c sugar, bake @ 325 for 12-15 minutes Please register or log in to remove this ad and the ads attached to all the pictures |
