| Anyone should be able to make this dessert. It's VERY simple, only thing that might be any challenge is getting it to look pretty. No matter what it looks like it will still taste good. I'm guessing there's a name for this dessert but I'm not sure what it is. I just tossed all this stuff together till it IMO tasted good, not to sweet but sweet enough. This recipe serves 2, NOTE the pictures show a half batch so it may look like less then when you make it using the recipe. I only needed one =) Cake triangle - not needed, you do have one of these right? if not use a fork or something. Or just leave it plain. Lazy Suzan - not needed, 2, 4 oz ramekins 8 oz package of Mascarpone cheese 2 TBS heavy cream 1 tsp powdered sugar 1/4 tsp vanilla 1 to 2 tsp Kahlua, start off with 1 and taste, if needed add another. black or raspberries, frozen used in the pics but fresh would be better. pinch of sugar to use on the berries. Place about 2 TBS worth of frozen berries in a bowl, either let thaw on the counter top, or zap them in the microwave for 10-20 seconds. Add sugar to sweeten them, (however much sugar you feel is needed) set this aside. Place in your mixing bowl, Mascarpone Cream Powdered Sugar vanilla Kahlua Beat this using a paddle attachment, you want to cream not whip this mixture, it shouldnt take long at all, wipe the sides of the bowl down if needed. then cream it 2-3 seconds longer. Try not to over work it since it only takes a 10-15 seconds to bring it together. Once it's together, use a spatula and put the cheese mixture into the ramekins. If you have the cake triangle and lazy suzan you can do what I did in the pictures, if not just mark the tops as you like with whatever you have laying around. Place a berry in the center and spoon the berry juice on top of the dessert however you please. No baking needed, this dish takes all of 5 minutes to make... with clean up =) Please register or log in to remove this ad and the ads attached to all the pictures |
