| The hubby gave me a blow torch for Christmas, I'm wondering if there are ANY other recipes that require the blow torch OTHER than creme brulee and peeling peppers? Some sort of main dish preferably. Please register or log in to remove this ad and the ads attached to all the pictures |

| Think of the blow torch as a tool to make life easier. One example that comes off the top of my head would be to torch peppers although placing them over top your stove top (gas stove) also works wonders. you can also use it to add color to meat dishes, lets say you broiled some meat and a few pieces were covering each other, torch the ends and crisp it up for looks, but that really is pretty extreme. I mostly use mine for Brulees and when I'm in the mood to play with fire, lighting stuff and so on. Blow Torch > Matches when it comes to lighting candles on a birthday cake. I can't think of any recipes that call for using a blow torch other then the glazing the sugar on top of deserts. |
