Several years ago, my Sister-in-law and I were cooking in the kitchen. She was making something that I couldn't get enough of. I don't recall what it was called, nor do I recall what nationality the food is, but I really want to know, so I can make it again. To the best of my knowledge, it contained ground beef and cabbage. It was stuffed into dough that, when cooked, became flaky. I remember having to kneed the dough and flatten it out extremely thin. We placed the cabbage/beef mixture into the dough, rolled it up, and then baked it in the oven. If someone could provide me with a name for this, I would love to look up a recipe and try it again. I have been craving them for a long time. Please register or log in to remove this ad and the ads attached to all the pictures

I remember having this as a kid, my mom made something like it. I'm not sure where it comes from, googling it brings up a good bit of random cabbage and beef dishes. Check out google images and search for beef cabbage pastry maybe you'll see a picture of what you're looking for.

I will surely make these again. However, I will not be using biscuits. I will make my own dough. I used biscuits because I did not have time to make dough, and though they turned out quite tasty, they did not hold together very well. I will be making more once all the Thanksgiving festivities die down. And this time, I will be sure to take pictures.
