Tuna salad. Potato salad. Pasta salad coleslaw sandwiches friend chicken (served cold) Beef Roast sliced thin and served cold. Cookies Brownies Fruit tarts random pies Just make sure you choose stable foods, foods that can be served cold are going to be your best bet so you can take a cooler and not worry about heating anything. Friend Chicken I think is the #1 picnic item, at least in the past. served cold. =)

so i'm considering cooking the beef or something similar and slice it for some sandwiches on some good rolls. the problem is, we are headed to the fair tonight, so i don't really have time to cook, unless i stay up all night or just get up early tomorrow.

desserts are a key to a picnic.. cheese cake etc.. your menu should depend on the weather.. if it's a bit chilly outside.. I'd take warm soup and meatball sandwhiches or sum'n. if it's hot, don't take anything spicy. you can actually bring a small ice chest and bring ice cream sandwhiches for desert.
