| Well... I thought my friend (and long time cook) was completely off his rocker when he told me to rinse my green beans in the can before using them. But I did... And it made a HUGE difference in the way they tasted.* Now I open my cans, drain, fill with water, drain, and fill, and drain. I found it makes the biggest difference in whole kernal corn.* But all the veggies I rinse taste more like veggies and less like cans. So I was wondering... who else has tried this trick? | Can veggies? I'm sorry, what are those? :D If you cant find fresh, try frozen veggies. if you cant find frozen then.... sigh.... I guess can is doable =) Just remember, canned veggies retain a lot of their nutrients in that fluid. while it may taste good to rinse it, you're losing most of the reason you eat the veggies in the first place. |

| Of course, canned corn is really one of the ones that brand does matter on. I have found green beans to be about the same for all brands, but corn can be really bad with some of the off-brand labels. Peas have a bit of difference too. |
