Default Pork for dinner!

The other night, I was sitting around with my roommate trying to figure out what was going to be for dinner, and decided that we would try something that he had seen at a restaurant once.

Since we didn't have any real sauces to cook it in, we decided that we would use a packet of the seasoning from Ramen noodles (chicken flavored). Put the packet in two cups of water and let it come to a rolling boil.

Cut the pork up into small chunks (about 1.5"X1.5" chunks is what we used). Seasoned the pork with some of our favorite spices. This can be whatever it is that you see fit according to your tastes.

Dropped a few pieces of pork into the "chicken sauce" and let them sit for about 10 minutes, turning the pieces from time to time. Checked it to ensure it was cooked completely, and served it over a bed of rice and fresh steamed garlic string beans.

All in all, it wasn't a very expensive meal, didn't take any longer to prepare/cook than most other meals, and the result was extremely good! We even took some of the "chicken sauce" and put it over our rice to give it a little extra flavor.

Try it out! I recommend it.

Salt--AHA's "job security" ingredient.

The food didn't taste salty at all, but it certainly didn't need anything more than what we used.
