| Member | Have excess amounts of green garlic sitting in the fridge from your CSA? Try this cream of green garlic soup.... 3 C green garlic, sliced 2 C chicken or veggie broth fresh rosemary or thyme 1 tbsp. flour 2 C milk dash of ground nutmeg 2 tsp. butter salt 1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind 1. Simmer the green garlic and herb in the broth, covered, for about 10 minutes. Blend in blender or food processor until smooth. 2. Put the flour in a pan and whisk in the milk. Add the garlic pureé and nutmeg, stir. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. 3. Add the butter, more herbs (if you like), and the lemon zest.
