| So I see a bunch of Garbanzo beans laying around, and I am one who loves to experiment... So I google Garbanzo Bean Recipes... #1 Recipe... Hummus... But I am without Tahini... So I google Tahiniless Hummus... I made it by the recipe, and didn't like it... Too bland... So here is my adaptation.. 1 Can Garbanzo Beans (Rinsed well) 3-4 Tbsp or 1/4 Cup (I just poured till i liked the look) of EVOO 1 tbsp of minced garlic or however many cloves that would be Newmans Own Raspberry & Walnut Vinagrette Dressing Mix all together and puree using a food processor. (I used a handheld). Add Dressing until you find a texture you like. Chill until ready to serve... I ate it on some Melba toast, and tonight i'm gonna pickup some Pitas and have this for lunch all week. I think tonight when I make more i'm going to grind up some walnuts with it. | Almonds will work too... I'm going to make it tonight using Sesame Oil (Still can't find true tahini)... And the Walnut was in the dressing, but i'm sure you could use Almonds instead... As a matter of fact, I might make some using a different dressing and Almonds tonight... |
